This experimental short introduces the mood and style of the collaborative (non-profit) fashion, art & lifestyle label XXMO//COMO. XXMO//COMO was founded in 2015 in Innsbruck, Austria and approaches fashion from unusual perspectives. The thoughtful pieces are minimalistic and multifunctional and offer individual adaption to every gender and body, size and form. The film reflects those intentions by focussing on establishing the XXMO-universe, rather than spotlighting the products themselves. Beyond that the film is a vision of a dark dystopian future, potentially resulting from capitalism, mass production and non-sustainable use of resources. Facing those challenges the body itself and therefore the protection of it, regains tremendous importance. Metaphorically the film displays the enormous significance of the equilibrium of body and mind for health and our contentment as human beings. Visualised through graphics and symbolism it tries to show the most basic function of clothing in a dark and threatening surrounding. XXMO//COMO pieces are meant as freeing and empowering armours, which function as a counterbalance to the chaos of a future dystopia.
ECLIPSE marks the beginning of the XXMO-story which will be continued in the following chapter ESCAPE.
